Title : Curves For Geometric Modeling Revisited
Abstract: In this talk, I will discuss why Bezier and B-spline curves are useful for geometric modeling, and show why monomials and interpolatory curves are poor choices for geometric modeling. In addition, I will give a visual demonstration of the slow convergence of Bernstein's constructive approach to the Wierstrass approximation theorem. |
