Title : Introduction to Volume Rendering and an efficient traversal for
Abstract: In scientific visualization and computer graphics, Volume Rendering is a set of techniques used to display a 2D projection of a 3D discretely sampled data set. It is used in medical and engineering field. It is also more and more important in visual art and computer games. This presentation will give a general idea of Volume Rendering and also go through the very common used ray casting approach in Volume Rendering. At last, it will also give a simple and efficient algorithm of Octree(which is used to accelerate the process). |
