Procedural Noise for Tactile Texture Information
Abstract: My problem is to display tactile texture information on a surface. The Gabor filter appears in both vision and touch, so it makes sense to use it in generating visual textures to display tactile textures. Conveniently, there is an algorithm that does this [Lagae et al, 2009]. I will describe this algorithm and how I use it. |
