An absence ofconventional evaluation procedures in recent synthesis attempts demandsan inquiry into the visual significance of synthesized results. The goal of this work is to emphasize the importance of visual preferencesin the process of deciding geometric texture similarity. Tothis end, our research provides a firm perceptual foundation from whichfuture geometric researchers can develop and subsequently assess theiralgorithm's success.
