Title : Parallelization of the SIMD Kalman filter for track fitting
Abstract: High-energy physics experiments produce a wealth of data that by its sheer amount present an analysis challenge. Over the past couple of decades, a technique known as the Kalman filter has emerged as the preferred tool to deal with this data. The Kalman filter is computationally intensive, and fast implementations are desirable, especially when considering the on-line data analysis task. In this work I present a parallel implementation of the Kalman filter and its performance. |
