Title : A Modeling Perspective on the Underground Morphology of Karst
Abstract:
Speleomorphology can be an instructive case study of the formation of complex shapes in general. The underground conduits found in karst owe their complex shape to a large number of inter-related processes which operate under dynamic conditions. This is a major extension of the multiresolution refinement paradigm used commonly in modeling many natural and man-made objects.
