Title : Uses of Motion Kinematics in User Interfaces
Abstract: In this talk I will present research on motion kinematics in user interfaces. I will describe why understanding the characteristics of mouse and stylus motion is important. I will also give details on how motion kinematics has been used to infer user intention in Fitts? Law task as well as determine characteristics of the user?s intended target. I will conclude the talk with a discussion of future work in this area. |
