What is pitch? How do humans perceive and understand pitch? 1) I will decompose sounds, from time domain to frequency domain.2) I will discuss inner ear^Òs physiological characteristics, e.g. thecochlea.3) I will present the most accepted pitch perception theory.4) I will discuss the weakness of this theory.5) I will present interesting analogies between our auditory and thevisual system.
