Title:
Metronome: IBM's Real-Time Garbage Collector
Abstract:
I will be presenting some work from IBM Research that I ran
across during my time on the IBM Java VM team. I will give some
background on different past approaches to real-time GC design in
general and real-time Java in particular, and then present the
advances made by IBM's "Metronome" GC, along with an explanation of
why this problem is important.
