Force Feedback

Abstract: This talk will give an introduction the psychophysics of force feedback.
There's only a little psychophysics, which could be covered in a few minutes, except that understanding it depends on knowing a little bit about linear systems theory.
Implementing it is pretty simple, except that proving that the implementation works requires a little bit of advanced classical mechanics.
Both linear systems theory and classical mechanics are subjects that every grad student in graphics or HCI should know at the buzz-word level, so the time spent introducing them will not be lost.
