Title: Practical Terrain Rendering
Abstract:
A common gripe about the visual quality of the urban models being developed
at the ICVDM is the ground plane (i.e. terrain). Due to the size of the dataset
and the naive approach being used quality was being forfeit to achieve reasonable
performance. Recent work has improved the visual quality of the terrain within
the confines of the available data. I will be discussing what steps were taking
to achieve this.
