Title: Predictive Simulation in Computer Graphics

Abstract:

Despite the notable progress in physically-based rendering, there is still a long way to go before one can automatically generate predictable images, particularily of organic materials. In this talk I will give a brief introduction to predictive simulation, its uses, and how predictability can be achieved. The simulation of light interaction with human skin will be used as an example.
