Title: Sound Synthesis from Real-Time Video Images
Abstract:
Images and video have been used in the past in various ways to
produce music and sound. I will present a paper that follows a novel
approach. The paper demonstrates a method to control sound spectra in
real time using digital video as the control. 32 harmonics are
controlled in several different synthesized voices. This allows a
performer to manipulate timbre in a way not possible with acoustic
instruments.
