Title: Perspective and Perception in CG, Navid Sadikali Master's Essay, 1998 Abstract: The foundation of realistic imagery is based on linear perspective. However, it does not always produce images that are realistic. Artists have encounters that issue since the Renaissance and have manipulate perspective to correspond to our human perception. I will present the work of Navid who investigated what artists and photographers have used to remediate to distorsions that appear in linear perspective. Navid wrote a ray-tracer that enables the modeller to fix perspective distorsions in order to create images that are more realistic relative to our visual perception.
