Title:: An overview of LiquiMedia
Abstract:: I present an overview and empirical validation of the LiquiMedia operating system architecture. LiquiMedia is a soft-realtime operating system optimized for the implementation of multimedia applications. It provides fine-grain realtime execution, pervasive synchronization and supports independently-authored realtime applications through a combination of hierarchical partitioning and a novel statistical scheduling mechanism.
