- Title:InfoCrystal as a visual query language
- Abstract:
-
Boolean query is frequently used in finding information in large data sets
and
in Information Retrieval, but it's difficult for users to formulate
complex queries and to refine their queries using conventional query
languages.
InfoCrystal can be used as a visual query language to make boolean query
more user-friendly and can also be used as a visualization tool to make
ranked output more informative.
In the talk, I will give a brief introduction on InfoCrystal, and an
analysis on its advantage and disadvantages as a visual query language.
