Title: The Design of Everyday Things
Abstract: I will discuss Donald Norman's excellent text about designing things that people interact with, and from which I've stolen the title for my talk. It's an excellent overview of the problems of many tools we use and how designers can avoid them. If you're ever going to be even remotely involved in designing something that people will use (e.g. user interfaces), you should read this book.
