Title: To ce or not to ce.

Abstract: I've always viewed C++ has a bloated language when it comes to performance applications. Since the language was introduced, however, there have been many improvements to the compilers as well as many books introduced regarding C++ efficiency. I will present the results of my own comparison between C and C++ on simple vector and matrix operations using current generation compilers.
