Title:

Free-Form Deformations

Abstract:

Generating complex models can be time consuming and difficult. Real-life artists often build models by starting with a basic shape, and modifying it. Scuplting clay is an example of this. The field of free-form deformations attempts to give similar flexibility back to computer modelers. This talk will cover some of the techniques that can be used for free-form deformations.
