Title:Analysis of a physically-based surface deformation model

Abstract:

Models for simulating the behavior of non-rigid objects, like a piece of cloth or a paper sheet, have caught the attention of many people in the modeling community. The analysis of a physically-based model for generating elastically deformable surfaces will be presented.

An essential issue on the model's controlability lays on the non-independency between stretching and bending and how these two effects are related to the level of realism attained in simulations.

An approach for controlling the model is proposed, along with some techniques for analyzing the results obtained.
