- Title:
Divided Attention
- Abstract:
-
An overwhelming amount of information is available to our sensory
systems, and we cannot process all of it extensively. Somehow we
select some input for further perceptual processing while discarding
the rest. I will talk about this selection, focusing on what happens
to information we try to ignore. I will mention ways in which this
selection is relevant for the design of stimuli intended for digestion
by the human perceptual system.
