Title:
Cylindrical Surface Pasting
Abstract:
Surface pasting is a process to create detailed composite spline surfaces by attaching features on a base surface using an efficient displacement scheme. Cylindrical pasting is an extended research idea of surface pasting. It is based on the idea of surface pasting, and connect 2 surfaces together through a connecting cylinder. The 2 layers of the control points at the ends of the cylinder are pasted onto the 2 surfaces by means of the origina pasting process. The remaining control points are equally spaced between the 2 ends. I will give an overview of the research ideas involved in my thesis.
