Title:
Visualization of Flow in Fractured Network
Abstract:
Particle tracking is a common method used today to visualize flow in continuous domains. Research in groundwater contamination revealed a new type of domain that consists of both discrete fractures and rock matrix.

In the last few years, numerical methods were developed to simulate simultaneous flow in the fractures and the matrix rock as well as the interaction between the two, but from the visualization point of view, not much work has been done.

In this talk, I will present the challenges of visualizing flow in fractured network, and I will show an extension to the particle tracking method that supports flow in fractures.
