- Title:
- "Mixed Initiative Problem Solving with Animated Pedagogical Agents", by: James C. Lester, Charles B. Callaway, Brian A. Stone, and Stuart G.
Towns
- Abstract:
-
This paper presents an example of using an animated agent in a
problem-solving environment where the agent interacts dynamically with the
user to maximize the speed and quality of a learning experience. The
agent's behaviours are determined through the use of a dynamic
sequencing engine which draws upon a 'tripartite context model'. This
model will be discussed, and I will evaluate the use of mixed initiative
interaction.
