- Your Thesis and the University of Waterloo Regulations

In June 1994 the University of Waterloo upgraded its regulations
concerning the format of theses, due to a cooperative effort amongst
several graduate students in the Faculty of Mathematics. In this talk, I
will describe the rationale behind these changes, and discuss the
typesetting of a Mathematics thesis using Latex2e. In particular I will
emphasize the the following of conventional typesetting practice through
presenting a series of my own examples, in addition to discussing
several useful references on the subjects of typesetting, document
design, and typefaces. Questions that pertain to specific problems
regarding Latex2e and thesis presentation will be welcome.
